DECEMBER TBR!

I missed the winter to be read topic for top ten tuesday the other week as I was too busy crying under a rock over school… So here is my very ambitious december/christmas holiday tbr list. I’m in my exam period right now for school and have three more to go so I probably won’t be doing too much reading, though I do want to finish Insurgent hopefully this weekend. However, I then have a month off of school. Yep. From December 10th to January 12th I will be FREEEEE!!!! Aka much reading, much baking. So here we go!

Insurgent by Veronica Roth

Allegiant by Veronica Roth

A Feast for Crows by George R. R. Martin

Let it Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson & Lauren Myracle

My True Love Gave to Me edited by Stephanie Perkins

The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon

All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

Saga Volumes 2, 3, & 4 by Brian K. Vaughan

Maus II by Art Spiegelman

Honestly, I don’t know how much of this I will be able to accomplish… Like I said, very ambitious. I’m just really hoping to make a good dent in my unread books and what better time to do it then when it’s cold, snowy and I’m off school?

What’s everyone else reading this winter? If you’ve read any of these books let me know which ones I should make a priority!

Happy reading!

xx

TOP TEN TUESDAY: FALL TBR PILE

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and The Bookish.

TOP TEN BOOKS ON MY FALL TO-BE-READ LIST

ONE & TWO.

946048712396528

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children & Hollow City by Ransom Riggs.
If these books don’t scream Halloween I really don’t know what does. I have a feeling they are going to be delightfully creepy, and perfect for an October kinda read. I just hope they don’t give me nightmares…

THREE.

8664957

Smoke (Burned #2) by Ellen Hopkins.
I read Burned years and years ago and honestly I don’t even remember what happens… I picked this up at the closing sale of the World’s Biggest Bookstore in downtown Toronto and haven’t yet found time to read it. The colours of the smoke/fire are pretty spot on fall colours, so I added it to my fall TBR.

FOUR.

10194157

Shadow and Bone (The Grisha #1) by Leigh Bardugo.
This has been sitting on my shelf for a while and I have heard nothing but good things about the series, so why not. It also includes the words shadow and bone which reminds me of halloween aka the fall.

FIVE.

21445

5th Horseman (Women’s Murder Club #5) by James Patterson.
I pick these books up every few months and read one, then I’m like “omg so good I need to read more” and then life happens and my TBR pile grows and I forget… But again, thriller/murder mystery = halloween. Do you see a trend yet?

SIX.

8490112

Daughter of Smoke & Bone (Daughter of Smoke & Bone #1) by Laini Taylor.
Smoke. Bone. Masks. Something about devils, monsters, and mystery. Need I say more?

SEVEN.

11235712

Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles #1) by Marissa Meyer.
Cyborgs and fairy-tale retellings. This is all I know.

SEVEN, EIGHT, & NINE.

In the unlikely event that I power through these books for fall the next three are sequels.

6th Target (Women’s Murder Club #6) by James Patterson.

Days of Blood & Starlight (Daughter of Smoke & Bone #2) by Laini Taylor.

Scarlet (The Lunar Chronicles #2) by Marissa Meyer.

And that’s all for my fall TBR! Stay tuned for more Top Ten Tuesdays in the future!
